and Function
The Palm® Treo™ 680 smartphone delivers wireless email and
messaging, built-in web browser, and rich media capabilities on a Palm
OS® device. Carry thousands of business and personal phone numbers
with you, and dial any of them directly from your contacts list, QWERTY
keyboard, or on-screen dial pad.
Speakerphone, speed dial, conference
calling, call history, caller ID, and distinct Send/End keys make managing
all your calls that much easier. The Visual caller ID is yet another
feature of the Treo 680, along with Polyphonic and MP3 ring tones. Use
these features to customize your rings for individual callers, or attach
a picture to a phone book number in your address book to create customized
caller alerts.

High Speed Data Network
The Treo 680 is a Quad-band world phone with international roaming capabilities.
The Treo 680 also utilizes Cingular's high speed data network, EDGE.
EDGE delivers speeds nearly twice as fast as any other national data
network, offering average download speeds of 70 - 135 kilobits per second
(Kbps) and burst speeds up to 200 Kbps. The EDGE network performs at
more than three times the speed of GPRS and nearly twice the speed of
CDMA 1xRTT. |

Email
The Treo 680 allows you to stay on top of your life with Auto Sync: get
business and personal email automatically downloaded to your phone based
on a schedule you specify and new mail alerts based on your preferences.
The VersaMail® email client supports up to 8 email accounts, including
Yahoo!, AOL, and Gmail. Extensive message management features allow you
to get headers only, set message size limits, auto download attachments,
and set filters.
You can also access your corporate email
from the Treo 680. Using built-in Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, wirelessly
sync Calendar, Contacts, and email with your company's Microsoft Exchange
Server. Or, access business email using POP or IMAP and a compatible Virtual
Private Network (VPN) client.

Documents to Go
Be productive even while you're away from your desk. With a Palm®
Treo™ 680 smartphone and the included Documents To Go® software
you can create, edit, and transfer documents directly from your smartphone.
The Treo 680 provides built-in support for native Microsoft® Word,
Excel®, and PowerPoint® documents, a PDF viewer. Create a Word
document using standard text formatting like bolding, italics, and bulleted
lists. Create or edit an Excel spreadsheet. The Treo 680 allows you to
view PowerPoint presentations slide-by-slide and even view PDFs using
the new PDF To Go®.

Web Browser
With the Treo 680 and Cingular's EDGE network, you can access the internet
at broadband speeds using your Blazer Full Color Web Browser. Its powerful
Intel® XScale™ 312MHz processor combined with its vibrant display
provides a rich wireless web viewing experience. The Blazer Browser supports
multiple Internet standards, such as HTML, cHTML and WAP, and provides
multiple web viewing options. Optimized viewing minimizes horizontal scrolling
and makes content fit the small screen, while wide screen view provides
the familiar interface of a desktop web browser. An online search feature
and quick links to popular content such as news, sports, movies, stock
quotes and weather allow you to locate information quickly and easily.
Blazer gives you the ability to customize your start page and easily save
online images. You can even turn VPN on from within the browser, allowing
you to access secure Intranet sites.

Take and play your favorite tunes by transferring MP3s from your desktop.
Or use the built-in digital camera to snap pictures and capture video

And, with the Multi Media Card/SD expansion slot you can add even more
pictures and music, plus books, games, memory – you name it.
Integrated Digital Camera and
Video Recorder
The Treo 680 has an integrated XVGA 1280 x 1024 (1.3 MegaPixel) digital
camera with 2x zoom and automatic light balancing. Just point and click!
You can transfer your pictures to your computer, or send them straight
to a friend via email or MMS. The built-in camcorder lets you record videos,
play them on the LCD screen and easily save them right on the device.

Player
The Treo 680 lets you play MP3s and RealAudio files directly from its
built in speaker. Use Windows Media Player software or iTunes on your
computer to convert music files to MP3 format and transfer them to the
smartphone or an expansion card (sold separately). Listen to your music
through the built-in speaker or stereo headphones. Build and edit playlists
directly on the device or Mix things up by randomizing the songs on your
Playlist with the shuffle feature. You can even download digital audio
files like radio shows, news, and other content to your smartphone and
listen on the go.

The Treo 680 provides 128 MB of Flash Memory, more than sufficient
for storing emails, documents, pictures, ring tones, music, or downloading
