The BlackBerry Pearl introduces new multimedia features to the BlackBerry platform while providing the same award winning functionality of previous models. This sleek and stylish handset features a traditional phone keypad that utilizes innovative SureType technology for fast and efficient typing, built in expandable memory capacity, and a 1.3 megapixel camera.

The BlackBerry Pearl’s bright, high resolution QVGA color LCD screen provides ample workspace for viewing email, web pages and applications. Intelligent light sensing technology automatically optimizes screen lighting for indoor and outdoor viewing.

EDGE High Speed Data Network
The BlackBerry Pearl runs on the high speed EDGE network. EDGE delivers speeds nearly twice as fast as any other national data network, offering average download speeds of 70 - 135 kilobits per second (Kbps) and burst speeds up to 200 Kbps. The EDGE network performs at more than three times the speed of GPRS and nearly twice the speed of CDMA 1xRTT.

The BlackBerry Pearl introduces a number of new multimedia features and capablities to the proven functionality of the BlackBerry platform. The BlackBerry Pearl features a 1.3 megapixel camera with built in flash and 5x digital zoom. Just point and click! You can transfer your pictures to your computer, or send them straight to a friend via email.

The BlackBerry Pearl gives you the ability to play bck audio and video in all kinds of popular formats, including Polyphonic MIDI, MP3, WAV and MPEG files. Transferring flies between the BlackBerry Pearl and your desktop is a snap. Connuct up via the USB cable that comes tih the smartphone and transfer content directl to or from your memory card. You can also use Bluetooth technology to transfer your files.

Expandable memory capability is yet another new feature of the BlackBerry Pearl. Adding a microSD card for your device (sold seperately) will provide you with additional storage space for your pictures, audio, and video files.

With Black Berry's 'Always On, Always Connected®' architecture, you don't have to log in to check your email - your email is automatically sent to your handheld. The BlackBerry Pearl provides access to enterprise email accounts on Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, and Novell Groupwise via BlackBerry Enterprise Server and BlackBerry Desktop Redirector. You can also access your POP3/ISP hosted email accounts through the BlackBerry Web Client.

BlackBerry Phone
The BlackBerry Pearl puts top-of-the-line features such as polyphonic ring tones, advanced call log, conference calling, and call forwarding, into a sleek and stylish handset. 64 Megabytes of Flash Memory
The BlackBerry Pearl comes with 64 MB of flash memory, twice as much as its predecessor. That means you can load more applications, and store more messages, more contacts and more personal information.

The BlackBerry Pearl also has 16 MB of SRAM memory. More SRAM means you'll experience better response time when loading applications on your device.
